To Say Goodbye (of a beating heart?)
I said I loved you
Only a bite of time before I said im done
Goodbye
(or farewell, my love)
You begged
Then you fled
And stole my heart
(wrenching it, beating, bleating, blood still aflow)
You still grasp it
Me, waiting for you to replace it
But you toy with mixed emotions
And dance around in this fight
I dont wish you knew that I cant let you go
When I’m laying in new arms
He almost kisses my lips
I almost forget
But no, no you wont allow it
With short spoken drawls
As I wish for tequila to down you
You rise to the top of memory
Like a disjointed poem
With no rhyme
