I lied today
When you asked me if I was okay
I cried today
When the strongest part of me caved
I tried today
To fall to the floor and give
I made up my mind today
That this wasn’t the way to live
I traced the lines today
The ones across my skin
I acted like I was fine today
But I failed and gave in
I tried to shine today
But my light was too weak
I gave up on my life today
And surrendered into me
