Her Only Secret
She occupies a corner of her soul,?
Its been too long sense she was whole.
?Aching to be seen,?
Needing someone to hear her keen.??
She hides in books, others stories,
?Living their loves, loses, glories.?
Without a tale to tell,
?A heroine becomes an empty shell.??
She is a caged bird,?
Drifting farther with every unspoken word.?
She's a puppet that can't cut it’s stings
?A seed, waiting for what the sun may bring.??
Dormant she lys.
?Head tipped back, watching flowing skies.?
Maybe is the word she whispers in her sleep
Hope is the only secret she has to keep.
