Happiness With a Side of Pain
Thinking of you gives me butterflies,
butterflies that are bigger than life.
That one night changed it all,
now I'm so afraid to fall.
Everyday I see your face
it reminds me of that place.
All I wish for is one more chance;
I hope and pray for happenstance
to bring us back to that moment when
I fell just once, and then again.
It started with one slow dance,
now it’s like I'm in a trance.
Just to be held in your arms,
one more time, safe and warm.
You say my name, my heart skips a beat
playing the game, you're so discrete.
You have a sweet smile
that makes my heart go wild.
Your voice sends chills down my spine,
if only you would say you're mine.
What I'd do to be in your arms
someplace safe, someplace warm.
Everyday I want you to see,
how much this is hurting me.
