Keep Your Fingers Crossed
The world is coming to an end
The masked men
Are taking children
Poor women sobbing to their knees
Streets look like seas
The skies have all turned grey
Happiness has gone away
Let’s hope you don’t get lost
Keep your fingers crossed
You must fight to survive
Or they’ll eat you alive
You may blend in with the world
Don’t lose your shine, young girl
At times you’ll slip up
Even as a grownup
But you’ll fall on your knees
Ready to pray, to please
And while you pay the cost
Keep your fingers crossed
You see those long nights’ worth
Once you witness his birth
For those giggles and smiles
You could run miles
Hope their world is bright
Less wrongs, more rights
Even when times are tough
Their love will be enough
Despite all your exhaust
Keep your fingers crossed
The world will keep spinning
Everyone keeps talking
But they have nothing to say
Not like you
Who speaks the truth
Once the door opens to a brand new day
Don’t forget to share,
It’ll only be fair
The secret shan’t be tossed,
Keep your fingers crossed
