The Other Room
There is canned laughter in the Other room -
The Razor cuts my skin - all goes Silent, Still
then Laughter bursts from the people sitting in the room
As I lay - in the Dark - not speaking
Everyone’s moving around now - this blood is going to stain my pants -
The scent of chicken wafts into the room
Smiles and laughter - from the Real and the Fake
as I ponder if Blood can be washed - away from all my clothes
There are no more Sounds now - everything is Dark and Silent -
People dreaming sleeping - happily -
and I wonder if the Razor had been Sterilized
then everything - everything - fades to black
