Promises
You told me you would,
Now here we are.
This is the first time,
And now I'm not so sure.
You've shown me how
and explained with words.
But now that we're here,
I'm not so sure.
You position my hands,
making me shiver at your touch.
Then you move away,
waiting for the release.
I focus on your words
and position my feet.
You smile at me
As it soars into your hands.
I watch as you shift
to the stance you taught me.
You draw back and release
Making me nervous.
I'm taking no note
of what your doing.
Racing to get here
before it does.
It's been forgotten
because it's been beaten.
You reached me first
with a kiss.
We've somehow fallen,
with you on top.
I'm pinned to the ground,
inches from you face.
Our legs are tangled,
but neither of us care.
Your hands have my arms,
As you lean down.
You've rolled over now,
not breaking connection.
We're to tangled up
to care what happens.
You told me you would,
Now here we are.
This is the first time,
And now I'm lost with you.
