Missing
All you left was your checkered blue shirt,
lifeless in my arms, a small death.
I bury it in a grave of other clothes,
hoping it finds peace beneath the pink plaid.
If only my heart was that easy to bury.
As for now it lies sadly on my chest of drawers,
-folded each day, one size fits one-
hoping you’ll come back to wear it.
