Untitled
Alone standing on the corner
I see you motionless.
You stand there in the rain, sleet, or snow
wondering what to do.
Shaggy and pale amongst weird and uncaring people
who you will lye among when night comes.
Thinking of how you are going to get through a new day.
You figure you will do the same thing but in a different way.
As you lay on the ground,
gritty and cold,
You wonder how you got this old.
It seems that just yesterday you were just fine.
I guess that you went and decided to waste valuable time.
Wishing you would have done different,
Instead of looking away,
You wish you would have just listened.
You sit back and think,
Wow man how did I get to the point that I now eat out of a garbage can.
Even though I can’t help much,
All I think about is
How I could help
And who’s heart I could touch.
