Strangers
First impression seeing you.
As you are
Who you are
At First Wondering
Why you dress the way you do
Or
Wear that expression upon your face
Caught staring
A small bit of eye contact
shared
Eyes quickly to the ground
Awkwardly Stowed
On that small piece of carpet
to call your own
your eyes hidden in its brush
Looking up to see
See if they have noticed
your brief interaction
Brain with worry
Have they?
What if they did?
Of course like they sensed
your eyes were once again present
Were they curious?
Or
Just out of there shell to see if it is safe to see once again?
Have they been watching?
Not purposely watching
Just wondering about them
They caught your eyes again
The interaction is much shorter
More awkward then last
We could have talked;didn't
Never Friends
Just Acquaintances
For a few minutes.
Then strangers
Just like that
once again
