I'm Ready
So this is what it's like,
To find you here finally.
I can't see but I believe.
You reach out to me.
I try to find something,
Something to hold onto,
I find your hand
And I know it's okay.
I feel you, but I don't.
I see you, I don't see you.
You, who created me
And all I know and love,
And I know it's you.
You've been here all along,
I've just opened my eyes
To discover that
It's all my lies,
Lies to myself.
Impossible I'd say,
But I know,
Now I know.
It's you here
Waiting for me,
As I've waited
For so long, so long,
For a reflection I see
Of what you wanted me to be.
My creator, who'd give up
Your own to save mine.
I have nothing to offer,
But from me,
You take my sins.
I'm ready now,
But I'm willing to wait.
Take away my hate,
Replace it with faith.
You can show me the way,
Because I'm lost.
Even though I'm all alone,
Beside me there's you.
Show me the path
I have to take.
No, don't make it that easy.
You're better.
You show me the road bumps
Along the way.
I'm ready now.
Take me now.
I'm ready to meet you.
But I'm willing to wait.
Just take away my hate,
I'll replace it with faith.
I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready.
