You Left Me
You left me.
You made me scared
To be abandoned.
If you can leave me,
Why wouldn't everybody else?
I know I'm not the reason you left.
I also know I'm not the thing that stopped you.
Didn't you think of me?
Did I cross your mind
In those final, vital moments?
How could you?
You hurt me more than anyone.
You were supposed to always be there.
You were supposed to love me
Always and forever.
You broke a silent promise to me,
To God,
To everyone.
I don't remember you,
But you hurt me.
You were supposed to teach me everything,
But you taught me one lesson,
And only one.
I will never be as selfish as you.
I would never do that
To people I love.
You taught me one thing.
I want an apology,
I won't get one.
I want an explanation,
I won't get one.
I want a mother,
I won't get one.
