Anti-Reflection
You've got this picture
in your mind
I wish I could change it
to what I see
You've got this make
of who I am
but if I changed it
would you recognize me?
I wish I was the girl
I see in the mirror
only with a different
expression in her eyes
She's got the person She is
and the person She shows
but which is the disguise?
How can I break the distance
between the reflection
and your vision;
She's imprisoned
Why must She look
so much more beautiful
in two-dimensions
She's such a stranger
I know He would
appreciate her reflection
I wish I could step
back out of reality
and meet her on
the other side
I know He'd be there;
ready to greet a stranger
