Shadows
When the world is dark,
The water falls,
An ocean forms,
A river streams,
No strength to fight
The current
That washes over.
Helplessness.
Loneliness.
The light is gone.
Enveloped,
Swallowed into
Sadness.
It lingers,
But stops,
Comes back.
That little black hole,
Eating away at your stomach,
And your heart.
Numb.
It may cease,
The pain is just a storm,
With a tragic end.
