Shattered Dreams and Broken Hearts
Shattered Dreams and Broken Hearts
As you flick your head swishing your hair out of your face
And look up at us with your bright blue eyes out from under your thick long lashes
This is what you cause
Racing hearts and sweating palms
A nervous state with questions zooming through our minds
And you, smoother as can be, reach toward us to gently remove the strand of unwelcome hair in our face
Tucking it ever so swiftly behind our ear
The gaze you give makes anyone under it seem as though the two of you are the only ones alive
As we longingly stare straight into the never-ending depths of your hypnotizing eyes
You slowly inch closer, finally capturing your prey
This one touch of the lips is enough to create hope for us
Make us believe we actually have a chance
This was your main goal, and as you see it’s been achieved
You silently make your exit searching for your next target
Leaving us with
Shattered Dreams and Broken Hearts
