Cinderella
And there she stands
My Cinderella
Face sparkling with silver tears
I touch her cheek and meet her eyes
"My dear," I say "What's wrong?"
She glances at me
Glow gone from sight
"My Prince," she cries "My only Prince
The witch's spell is nigh.
I love you more than my lucky stars
But now I say good-bye."
And there she stands
My Cinderella
Her blade sparkling with a silver shine
And her tearful, beautiful face
Is the last light I see
Before the world flickers out
Around me.
