"It was night, and the rain fell; and falling, it was rain, but, having fallen, it was blood" ~ Silence - A Fable by Edgar Allan Poe

Glass tears fall from somber skies
Shattering into shards against the unforgiving ground
Quiet whispers echo through the cold night
Soft cries piercing the silence between words

A fragile heart cringing in the moonlight
Burdened with pain and deception, beating jaggedly
Bleaching its clothing in a crimson shade
Cletching the Note in its icy hands

One by one, each shattered piece falls
Eyes soon darken losing their cherished shine
Lips turn frost blue as seams unwind
Lungs collapse as the broken soul fades

The minority can change the majority.

Very deep and mysterious. I love it. It sounds as if someone is lost and can't be found

&quot;I musn&#039;t forget I&#039;m alive.&quot;<br /> Ray Bradbury (Dandelion Wine)

Wow. This poem is real. Nothing like the desperate/"love" stuff you see way too much of. It made me think and you leave so much on the page. You really put a lot of yourself into your poetry.
