Dead and Alive
I see things that aren’t to be seen,
I hear things that aren’t to be heard.
But you think I’m absurd.
I wouldn’t lie if what I were saying wasn’t true.
I wouldn’t tell you if you didn’t care.
So my heart wonders why I am scared.
The people I see aren’t really there.
They’re clearly visible to me,
Why they hide from you is just a scare.
I am the only one who can see the ghosts that haunt me.
My heart hangs heavy to what is in my heart and mind,
To what’s dead and what’s alive.
