These Walls
Every life has been written every day, its routine
every tree will shed its autum, come to life in the spring
every light must go out, every thought must be spoken
every one faces death, every heart must be broken
A million times its been questioned, is there more to life than this
because every day it seems hard, makes you want to sit and quit
The arts the crowds the laughter, The dreams that are dreamt
The moments of love and fame and With the someone whom their spent
And the money who has brought the Poisons giving life its loss
Giving a so called hope for
Tomorrow, but rather giving it a Cost
the lies i hear slip through the teeth of the person with no taste
feeding on each fib they tell me, making every breath they breathe a waste
perfection is expected, only the winner takes the prize
And in the corner of the loser's eye, greed is grown inside
The murder, the abuse, the catastrophy awaits outside my door
A beautiful world with so many dangers, is only to be ignored
So i look up to the stars, but not with wonder or with awe
But to question what lays outside, and the day i live outside of these walls.
