I know a Boy
I know a boy.
It hurts because I love him.
It hurts because he’s my best friend.
It hurts because he loves a girl who doesn’t return his feelings.
It hurts because whenever I feel his arms around me it’s only for a friendly hug.
It hurts because see him with a fake smile on his face when I know he’s dying on the inside.
It hurts because I know that I can’t do anything when she hurts him but tell him he deserves better.
It hurts because I know we could never be more than friends.
It hurts because I know he doesn’t love me.
With all this hurt you’d think a girl would stop trying.
But even with this pain, I can live.
Because being with him, makes me the happiest girl alive.
Because when he’s around me, he actually smiles.
Because when I hear his voice, I can hear the joy in it after he gets turned down, and I comfort him.
Because when I’m joking with him, he laughs about the stupidest things.
Because when we talk, we talk about inside jokes that make people think that we’re immature.
Even though I know he doesn’t love me,
I love him.
That’s all I want to live for.
