Drum {Percussion}
There are certain parts to music
Some that cannot be replaced
Percussion
What would music have without beat?
What would there be to fill the empty sheet?
The beats dance through the crowds
And it keeps them around
Keeps them tapping and snapping
Living like they have all the beat they need
Tapping of pencils during a test
The clang when the garbage men take garbage from the side of the road
The echo of a glass bottle that rolls on the floor
These beats are made by the earth
And are made for the earth by percussionists who are willing to play a beat
That will make people want to get up and dance around on their feet
