Dance
People run in black coats and umbrellas through crowded streets
Not a care for anyone that just got landsharked, or even hurt
They look down to the gum covered sidewalks or at the traffic filled with bright yellow taxis.
I stand in the middle of it all,
Wearing my everyday clothes,
And my rubber-ducky rain boots are soon filled
With the polluted water that rained from the skies,
And I am the only one looking up, instead of down.
I am the one, who is dancing in the rain,
Instead of waiting for the storm to pass
I do this because there is always someone,
Anywhere,
Who feels the way I do when I stand under the clouded sky
And Dance
