Your eyes are this cage
defined by lines radiating from a single point,
an axis, before this pretty soulbird can fly
fly away. At home in gray and blue lines,
you thrive in the depth of misunderstanding
and I hide from any potential misconception
for fear of misconstructing your past before
my eyes. I'd love to see you fly away,
you'd love it down in Georgia, I've heard
but she's out to sea
and if you're on the coast
you'll be happy there.
