Below Freezing
I'm freezing
My lips are blue
I can see my exhalations
But that's not the reason why
I have goosebumps
And I'm trembling
...that's his fault.
The heat isn't on
Because it isn't working
Or he forgot to pay to bill
Or just couldn't afford to
No matter.
I can't hate him for it
Or even stay the slightest bit angry at him
I think I'm starting to love him
A little too much for my own good...
I'm so sick and tired
Of this cold
Never ending it seems
But deep down in my heart I know
I'd rather freeze with him forever
Than be warm without him for a second
Or alone for any longer than that.
