Cold Night
Alone.
I am
In this world
And I'm cold
Looking at all the shattered glass
Broken picture frames
Chipped window paint
On the floor
I just want to run...
To Run away
In the cold night
Until my body freezes--Until I'm numb
Until I can't feel my emotions--
Trapping them inside
The smile upon my face--indescribable
I'm running away...
Forgetting all that is behind me
All for the moment
But I know the memories will be back soon...

I loved the flow of this poem. I think we have all been to that place where we were utterly alone. I know I have, at least. This reminded me of that time and how lucky I am to be in a better place now. Keep up the excellent work.
