That Tear

I remember that day
The way that tear hung from your eyes
That day when I gave you a special hug
The hug that I knew wasn’t enough
I remember that day
The day you found out
I wanted to give you the world
But I couldn’t, all I had was my hug
I want you to know
Through thick and thin
That tear is the absolute last thing
I want to see on you my friend.
