Color Me ______. (Red/Pink)
COLOR ME RED
Color me fire,
That licks and taunts and dares
Fear me, fear my love
Red
The color of tongues and
Satin sheets
Sex, passion
Why
Is love hot
And lonely cold
I try to think of you
As blue and soft and wet
But I am forced to accept the cliché
Of Red
Heat, sweat
Dripping off burning skin
Onto silk lips
And
Bleeding hearts
Blurry
But sharp
One body
Melded from two
Form a fusion
Melt here
With
Me
COLOR ME PINK
Pink is a different kind of love
And not my kind
I love in reds
And oranges
And sometimes
Black
Sunset colors
Or
Midnight colors
Depending on the man
But never have I loved in pink
The kind of love to make holding hands
Feel like enough
The color of blushes
Of innocence
I love in boldness
And passion
But pink
Is the color of sheets on wedding beds
Country homes
White picket fences
Little girl,
Love in pink
As long as you can
Cupid
Nicknames
Like
Love bug
Darling
Sugar
A softer way
Birthday parties
Cotton candy
Baby dolls
In
Pink boxes
Pink does not stain like wine
But brushes off like candy dust
Easily tucked away
And more easily kept new
