Excuse me??

A star crossed sound...
...
.....
.........
...

Carries its way...
Across the living room
Sweeping up into my head....
....
Wisping in my ear...
.....
...I lose count of what track is playing...
....
........The subtle green numbers fade back into the wall behind...
....
....
.....I love how records sounds when they spin
Sounds like raindrops and bending pins
...
......And as the sound flattens out around my body,
My vision grows blurry
Up on the ceiling my day plays out in luminous color
....
.........The dark red house
Empties out
A small frail girl on the streets of white winter,
....
.......Her day overlaps with sorrow,
From his eyes
Staring her down.....
Controlling her thoughts......
The barbed wire grew tight and choked..
Sinking softly,
His voice scratches
And memories fog in the haze.
....
.........
...Tears build up,
And reality plays back
Cracking and warm shadows sink into her skin from the fire pit...
The old rod heater shakes...and she intakes
....
.....
.....
..Her surroundings once again..
The base of the old charcoal speakers ring and brake
Lucid lite from the dining room rolls across her eyes..
Shining off the brass locket spread on her chest..
Filled with painful memories...
The girl's mind beings to wonder.....
....
...Falling asleep tonight she whispers
...
....Might just be harder then ever.....
......
......Darkness overcomes
And the dream realm presses its way in..
Thunder keeps striking her heart
Every beat tearing away apart of her.....
....
....Making her trip and tumble down in correspondence to his name..
...Does he remember that message he gave me?
.....But this girl
Shes strong.
......
....And she won't give up..
Until all of her songs run out....
Fading away today....
A brighter smile will come around again...
As....
...
.....The snow deepens
...The white car pulls away out of the parking lot...
Glazing storms suffocate the shield...
Traveling back...the feelings numb
....And...He was there...
For one last kiss...
....
..

..Holding her hand tight...
Promising to never let go.....

Though,
She never knew...
That she was just another card..
Adding onto his deck...
....
..
.
She never looked up...
To see him leave.....
......
Waves of petals flew...
Out that back seat..
From her soul..
Straight into his heart....
Little pieces of her...
Trapped forever.

...He got exactly...
What he wanted out of her...
..
......
..........

....Closer, we reeled into town...
Almost sleep..
Against the leather seat...
Her body slumped..
Lights flew into the sky....
Toxic peach rays settled into her eyes...
...
.......
...
And she knew...
..
....His second chance would soon..
...
.....Come to an end
...
......
...This all,
Was far away from what..
It could have been.
