To Whoever it Concerns
To whoever it concerns, I'm just a small town girl,
And to whoever it concerns, I don't mean much to the world,
I have hopes and dreams and goals, Just like anyone that you might know.
To whoever it concerns, I act like I don't care,
And to whoever it concerns, at home I will shed a tear,
I have scars from pain of the past,
But now I realize that pain will pass.
To whoever it concerns, you will never know me,
And to whoever it concerns, there are some things you can't show me,
Sometimes I won't listen, sometimes I will fight,
Sometimes I can push myself out of sight.
To whoever it concerns, I realize I'm not perfect,
And to whoever it concerns, I know I have some defects,
But I can't change for you,
And I definately won't try to.
To whoever it concerns, I try to wear a smile,
And to whoever it concerns, you'll never know when I'm in denile,
You see me as the strong one who always jokes around,
But look and a sensitive girl will be found.
To whoever it concerns, I was born free,
But to whoever it concerns, I'm still a prisoner of me.
