Goodbye
Why say it?
Nothing comes
from leaving,
nor is it good.
Why must we
say good
and not just
bye?
Why must we
cry for tragedies
and praise those
who don't allow us
a good bye.
We say hello
with hope sinking
into a fiery hell.
We say good bye
like a calamity.
Goodbye is not
good
Goodbye is alone
a statistic of many
broken hearts.
So here we hold
shattered pieces
alone and heartrending
in our own pool
of shattered tranquility.
Goodbye he says.
