Perception
The heart is a complex matter,
Strewn with feelings and emotions
That distort our way of thinking,
Leaving me uncertain of myself.
As the heart tends to be
The center of love,
Who would have known
You could love more than one?
Torn between passions
Of a romantic affair,
My heart seems to
Elude my perception.
Never to fully understand,
I suppose the wiles of the heart,
Being restless in its workings,
Shroud my eyes with deceit and indecision.
