Burdens
Sometimes you feel like you can't breath.
You feel as though you can't
Pull enough oxygen to your lungs,
Like you're drowning.
You're head spins and throbs
Against the pressure.
The weight of the stress placed upon you
Is enough to drag you under,
But somehow,
You find a way to stay above the surface,
But it's killing you.
It takes everything you have
To wake up in the morning
And face these pressures.
Sometimes these burdens feel like too much,
But somehow,
You find the strength to bear it all.
