Brand Name Clothes
Really, who needs those brand name clothes?
You wear em, share em,
Then toss em when they’re old.
When the new style is in,
And the old is out,
You ask the very same question,
And start to pout.
But I NEED these clothes!
I need them!
Of course you need things to wear,
But you can wait til Spring season,
When I have a paycheck we can spare.
No ifs, ands, or butts unless you have a good reason.
& that time next month, I step in the door,
I dig into my purse and say goodbye to my money,
We’re in Aero, than Hollister, from floor to floor,
“Pick anything you want out honey.”
If my wallet wasn’t empty and it wasn’t that much to spend,
I wouldn’t mind go shopping every now and then.
Brand name clothes are a waste of time,
& Styles change faster then I change shoes.
Kids are so demanding and that’s so much money to lose,
Kids smile with their clothes, wearing the exact same thing,
They’ll ask me again soon enough,
To get them new clothes,
Than I’ll look them in the eyes and tell them that’s tough.
No one needs brand clothes, like anyone cares,
You could go to school naked,
They’d undress to for the attention to share.
Think twice next time you go to shop,
Stand out from the rest,
Wear different patterns and colors that make your eyes pop,
& Right after that, I guarantee you’ll look your very best.
