Teen Ink
"Caged"
The story of a troubled teen
Could be seen
Through the lines of my poetry
Which was printed in the pages
Of Teen Ink's magazine
And now I write
Tonight
With the wooden pen
In the hand on my right
Trying to make a new poem come to light
And the ink that submerges
From my (author)ized pen
Glides easily along my paper
Like a fresh sin
A sin
Everyone in the world commits
But not everyone has the courage
To write about it
But I do
It helps to relieve my frustration
Coming from my mind
Connotations, Denotations
So abrasive
And still I write
Tonight
With the wooden pen
In the hand on my right
Hoping that this piece
Will come to light.
