Big Storm Barrels into Capital
It was the kind of storm that could snarl traffic for days.
The near-blizzard bringing heavy snow and high winds.
But, it was nothing compared to the blizzard in my heart.
Your words were unexpected,
They struck me in the middle of my chest.
I had been braced for problems, but not you.
And now, now I am falling.
In the middle of high winds and drifting snow,
Broken and dismissed.
