Looking back,
I see you on that first day.
We were eleven.
I talked at you...and you listened.
It took exactly
three months and 25 days
to become friends.
It was our birthday- December 10th.
I look closer.
You helped me through the rough patch.
We were thirteen.
I realized I love you.
Time slowly creeps forward.
The last day of spring break.
We get closer.
We take baby steps at first.
It's finally today.
Your arms are my favorite place in the world.
We're fourteen.
We're in love.
