My Best Friend
That red frizzy hair
And the sparkling blue eyes
She had no front teeth
That friend of mine
Met at Age 4
Attached at the hip
Only had each other
That was it
Shared the same 1st grade boyfriend
We would watch his karate
He would tell me how he loved me
And tell her how he loved her so much more
Years go by
While playing in the grape veins
Late night movies nights
Our little kiddy fights
Now hours away
As close as we can
We will always be together
That best friend of mine
