Animals
You say we’re monkeys
By the color of our skin
Because you refuse to give us education
We are knocked down to animals
But who are the real animals here
You beat us, taunt us, scare us
We should be caged up you say
But who’s the one hauling that whip around
Ready to tame us “animals”
You say that we have rights
This thing you call separate but equal
How true is it that we are separate
But equal, I’m not so sure
You say we can vote
But with the KKK and these loop holes in our 14th and 15th
Some freedom this turned out to be
These loop holes will end up around our necks
Who are the real animals here
Your cruelty, your insensitivity
We should be caged up you say
Ropes around out necks
Are you ready to tame us animals
What have we done
What did we say
To be put though this
Our existence will burn in vain
