An Ode To Night
Help us remember the sea of stars.
Bring on the darkness.
Bring on the moon and the creatures of the night.
Present us with the chilled air.
Come, let the stars gaze at us in wonder.
The wonder of why we slumber.
Bring forth your lovely dark sky, that is like a blanket of warmth.
O goddess of night grace us with your presence.
The god of day hath left us, alone with the coffee black sky.
To dream is to have visions of a past life.
O goddess of shadows kiss us goodnight, so that we may dream of
brilliant memories.
Take us for a journey to remember.
The dark sky is like a poem, written just for us.
For the moon is more beautiful than the ocean.
O how we love your shadow.
Cast upon us your cloth of night.
Take away the bright sun.
Let us sleep with the bright stars.
The goddess of night hath finally come.
