black and white
through the black i see a lifetime of sorrow.
the pain would eat me alive, watching the nightmares play over and over again.
not only seeing what made me weak, but also what made me so strong. my heart begins to pound beneath my bones, my fists tighten.
but through the white, i see a lifetime of happiness.
the laughs, like a screen play in my head.
watching slight dreams flow seldom through.
seeing what made me, me.
my heart relaxes, my fists release.
but it's not long before a nightmare over runs a laugh. it's not long before my nightmares take over.
