Nothing as pure as a baby's face
content with any little thing
a bubble wand, a handful of balloons
enough to occupy him for eternity
in his face,
only innocence
no malevolence
no guilt or harmful thoughts
wonderfully vulnerable
blissful ignorance
a child's laugh
always accompanied with a smile
this is
life before things got tangled
infinite and unfailing trust
take a stranger's hand in his
and lead them into his loving heart
