Growing apart.
I'm looking at her,
She speaks the wisest words.
There's so much knowledge,
Inside her young heart.
I tell her about my crying, my tears.
And I look away.
Creating waterfalls down my cheeks,
I look in her eyes,
And I try to put on a happy face.
But still, things don't seem quite right,
Between us.
Circumstances have changed.
We have changed.
For better or worse,
We must accept the way it is.
We must accept the way we are.
The water flows faster now,
And I try to look up,
But I can't muster up the strength,
To look into her eyes.
Because, well, we just aren't the same...
