His Bad Dream
Horrific eyes stare back at me
His mouth sewn shut by agony
Face delivers silent plea
Liberate him, set him free
For he knows death does disagree
Twisted features do implore
That I would grant him ev’rmore
The fate he has grown to adore
As me, he has come to abhor
Please set before him true death’s door
This torment that’s inflicted on
The one once known to sit upon
The grassy meadow, care foregone
Can now do naught but be withdrawn
From life he’s lost and will that’s gone
Again, again they spin him out
From death’s embrace, the ending route
Inflicting on him too real doubt
Of the faith, once so devout
Fire soaking limbs throughout
Endless cycle turning him
Through life and death, unnatural, grim
The future looking ‘ever dim
For him to escape pain’s tall brim
That spits him out on its own whim
No solace will he find in this
For never will come death’s cool kiss
Denying him eternal bliss
Instead life’s toying brought amiss
His stay’s length in this abyss
