The Grass is Always Greener
No one even thinks about me
About little old me
I’m lost in the crowd
Everyone the same
With no way to escape
Others neglect me
Walk all over me
Pick at me
Leave me out in the cold
Without a second thought
I want to get away
Move up in the world
But I can’t leave
I’m stuck here
Rooted to this very spot
I’ve always dreamt I could be more
Could flourish and blossom
Into something beautiful
I was never meant to be
Just a blade of grass
