Moving Ghost, Move Chairs
Unmoving chairs.
Move,
In,
Her mind,
Unseen people,
Fancy ladies in long lost clothing,
Lords with the tall hats and canes,
Take a seat,
Shifting, getting comfortable,
In the plush velvet seats,
She bows, a grand light shines on her,
Only her,
She bows, and the audience claps, she stands, smiles
The audience is silent,
Choking silence,
She knows,
Only she can break this,
She speaks, nervous,
Her words,
Are,
Chopped,
In,
Odd,
Place,
Incorrect,
Spaces,
The audience, shifts,
Uneasy, bored,
Fear courses through her, fear for losing the audience,
Fear for looking like a loser,
Again,
She forces herself to relax,
And the words come easy,
The words come like breathing,
All too soon,
It is over,the audience claps,
She bows again and when she stand up,
The lights are gone,
The chairs are empty,
The claps are silent,
And,
No one is there.
