&quot;Dreams are only Dreams, unless you do something about them, than they&#039;re life&quot;<br /> ~By me

I sit awaiting what is not there,
What may never come again,
Why do I sit so still,
Waiting for the dawn?
So I whisper my quiet lullaby.
I whisper my quiet lullaby.

When all is now forgotten,
Am I the only one,
Whose memory permits,
Each word spoken?
So I whisper my quiet lullaby.
I whisper my quiet lullaby.

I wait day and night,
For how could I forget,
The lessons he tried to teach us,
Each with a new meaning?
So I whisper my quiet lullaby.
I whisper my quiet lullaby.

Maybe I’ll never see again,
Once was always there,
Maybe the only thing he’ll hear,
Is my sad lament still lingering,
Will he remember?
So I whisper my quiet lullaby.
I whisper my quiet lullaby.

Take me, Moon,
Engulf me in darkness,
So that once again I can see the helpful face.
Will I ever reach the dawn?
So I whisper my quiet lullaby.
I whisper my quiet lullaby.

The author's comments:
I wrote this about a close friend, Joe, who recently passed away and acted as a guide. I also kept in mind my cousin Larry, his girlfriend, Carly, and her brother, Ray, who died in a car chrash a few years ago. R.I.P.
