BOTTEM OF OUR OCEAN
Bottom of our ocean
It’s deep
Personal
Sad, infuriating, blissful, and silent
Our ocean
We swam in circles
Easy, fun
But there were those shallow parts
Where we couldn’t swim
We needed to be brought back
To those deep memorable parts
Where it was easy
No chance of drowning
Not for you
But I needed help
And that’s what you were
At first you were only a crutch
I didn’t think I depended on you much till you left
Left me drowning
With no way to survive
Water burning into my chest
Cold as ice
Cutting at my skin like knives
Our ocean
Was now nothing more to you?
Than a pathetic, meaningless little
Puddle
