My Everything
I studied her face.
Every freckle, blemish, and birth mark.
Every wrinkle, laugh line, and imperfection.
The brightness of her eyes.
Her full lips that spread across her whole face when she laughed.
Even when she was sick, she was beautiful.
I didn’t want to forget a single detail.
I cherished every second I spent with her,
Never knowing when I would see her again.
Even as her face sunk and her weight dropped,
She was still the happy, bubbly person I have known my whole life.
She stayed positive all the way through.
She taught me lessons a parent couldn’t teach.
We shared secrets like best friends at a sleepover.
I love her more than anyone else in the world.
She was my everything. RIP<3
