On the Outside,
There is nothing that can get me down.
Everything is always clear,
I have nothing to lose and nothing to fear.
I always know what to say,
And I know what’s best for me.
I can do everything by myself,
I don’t need any help.
I feel joy, but no pain.
I love, but don’t hate.
I live, but don’t die.
I laugh, but don’t cry.

On the Inside,
I feel sad a lot of the time,
Things always get me down.
I’m so confused, nothing is clear.
I have everything to lose and so much to fear.
I never know what is the right thing to say, my emotions always get in the way.
I don’t know what’s best for me, but I pretend I do.
I need help in everything I do.
I feel so much pain, but don’t let it show.
Sometimes I hate with a fire in my soul,
But once again, no one knows.
I die on the inside, cry on the out,
Nobody knows what I’m all about.
