Hiding
You hide
I don't know why you are doing this
You covered what was really happening with your scars
All you do is sit there and laugh when I worry about you
And your boyfriend?
You were so much better without him
I want my friend back
Not some girl hiding who she is
Trying to be normal
Trying to be perfect
What IS normal?
What IS perfection?
Warm tears slide silently down my cheeks as I think of what is happening to you
Others tell me not to worry, but I suffer thinking about the outcome of all of this
It is true that I don't REALLY know what you are feeling
But I want you to be happy and not worry about being too fat, or ugly, or stupid
You are skinny
You are beautiful
You are smart
You are strong
And you CAN get through this
